Welcome to the Narragansett Chapter Meetup site. The Appalachian Mountain Club, founded in 1876, is America's oldest conservation and recreation organization. The Narragansett Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club is the local Rhode Island affiliate. Our Chapter was formed in 1921 and has about 2,500 members.  Our AMC Chapter offers outdoor activities which range from easy to technically challenging.
